Plane Sense of Groton is a community based organization interested in reasonable ways to reduce noise caused by flight schools,acrobatics and individual pilots whose flights originate from airports located 20 miles from our homes. The noise generated by this recreational flight is intrusive and interferes unreasonably, with the use and enjoyment of our private and public properties. We believe that this concentration of flight activity represents the abuse of an American freedom, the privilege of flight.

The aviation community (flight schools,individual pilots, the FAA, Hanscom Field, Nashua Airport, Massachusetts Aeronautics Commission, AOPA) throughout the years has attended meetings and have been sent status updates but the flight activity continues to exist.

Spring 2010 Status:

   East Coast Aero Club, Hanscom Field, Bedford continues to send numerous flights.

   Daniel Webster College is in the process of grounding its flight school.
